By what spread of breast cancer?

Breast cancer can spread to any part of the body through the blood and lymphatic system. The metastasis of breast cancer cells is what makes the disease is very dangerous. Metastatis means that cancer cells have traveled from the place of origin, in other words, the chest, to other parts of the body.

When cancerous cells travel from the chest to the underarm lymph nodes, is still considered that the early stages of breast cancer and has a high potential to be completely healed. With surgery and treatment there is a high possibility that the disease can be completely eradicated from the body.

When cancerous cells travel beyond the lymph nodes to other distant from the body parts, the patient is said to have distant metastasis. The bones, lungs, and liver are the most commonly affected body extended to breast cancer cells. Although the treatment is available for breast cancer and cancer of breast metastasic, once cancer has traveled beyond the breast and underarm lymph nodes, no longer can be completely cured.

Scientists have recently discovered a molecule that could be the main reason behind the spread of cancer cells from breast to different parts of the body. The molecule known as Brk is almost 60% of breast cancers and they accelerate the growth of tumor cells, encouraging the metastasis to other parts of the body.

The study was conducted in breast cancer patients who had the poorest responses to treatments. The molecule of Brk was found in high concentrations in these patients, which means that not only cause the cancer to grow more aggressively; It also encourages its rapid spread to other parts of the body.

The study also came out with another fundamental conclusions. The tumor cells were killed when the molecule Brk was inhibited, but cancer cells re-emerged when the molecule is introduced again. This points to a significant level of participation that the molecule of Brk has encouraged breast cancer cells to survive, grow and spread. Scientists are studying how exactly the Brk molecule promotes the growth of breast cancer cells so that they can develop ways to prevent that happening. The findings are encouraging event and have shed new light on the old age of humanity battle against cancer.

Benign breast lesions

Breast cancer is one of the most terrible and devastating diseases for women and for good reason. It has a high price in not only the physical health of the patient, but also the emotional well being so. Doctors suggest that patients undergo routine breast examination to detect abnormal changes as soon as possible, so that if cell changes are related to cancer, treatment can begin as soon as possible. With the proper treatment in the right time, this disease can be cured completely.

All women are routinely recommends that examine their breasts to check if you feel anything abnormal. If there are suspicious packages, a mammogram may be necessary to determine whether they are cancerous. Even if lumps in the breast are not cancerous, they sometimes have to be removed. It is often advised women who develop benign tumors or lesions in the breast for breast biopsy. The result of the biopsy may be to not be cancer at all. But that doesn't necessarily mean that everything is perfectly fine. It is worth being cautious in this situation, although the outright panic may be premature.

Much of the research is being conducted on the nature of benign breast lesions in women. They are really nothing to worry about? The research results seem to suggest that the degree of risk that usually is association with a chest injury, although it may be benign, is linked to the cellular structure of the injury itself (being studied by the tissue under a microscope). Family history of the woman, that is if any close relative of the family had breast cancer or the patient herself had breast before and the age to which the injury was found and was made biopsy also play an important part of the risk associated with benign breast lesions.

Today there is much awareness about breast cancer and most women continue until their self breast examination with a routine visit to the clinic and an annual mammogram. Given that has increased the number of women undergoing mammography screening, so has the number of anomalies was during mammography. Each year thousands of women undergo breast biopsy to rule out the possibility of cancer in a suspicious lump breast or injury.

Benign breast lesions may indicate that women have a greater chance of developing breast cancer, so it is advisable that more frequent and regular in the future projection is done to detect breast cancer as soon as possible.
